During the completion of that project the City initiated the design of an <br />emergency generator to service the building. The additional design and permitting has been completed <br />and the City is ready to move forward with the construction. Nunez Construction, due to their recent <br />work on the building, is best qualified to perform these services and has provided a proposal in the <br />amount of $1,369,256.88. Staff is recommending awarding this contract and including a ten percent <br />contingency for a total amount of $1,506,182.57 for these services. <br />The City would also request the Commission approve additional services for building restoration to be <br />performed by Nunez Construction in the amount of $659,762.50. Staff is recommending awarding this <br />contract and including a ten percent contingency for a total amount of $725,738.75 for these services. <br />Total amount awarded is $2,231,921.32. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />The emergency generator size was dependent on the average usage.
