Synovus shares those <br />concerns as well. Therefore,Synovus is certified as a “Qualified Public Depository” under the Florida <br />Security for Public Deposits Act, as defined in Chapter 280 of the Florida Statues. We comply with and <br />have met all collateralization pledge requirements as prescribed by the Stateof Florida QPD program. <br />P.DisasterRecovery <br />The bank shall provide information regarding their disaster recovery plan including a specific plan <br />related to serving the City in the event of disaster. A contact name and phone number are to be <br />provided for service 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. <br />Synovus utilizes multiple layers of overlapping controls and processes to ensure banking services are <br />readily available to support customers ongoing operations. This includes but is not limited to the <br />following: <br />Systems are scheduled for automatic backup, and processes are in place to monitor backup for <br />successful completion. <br />Data recovery processes are tested periodically. <br />Redundancy is designed within key systems and processes to allow for automatic failover and high <br />availability of services. <br />Monitoring and alerting systems are in place to allow for proactive monitoring for potential <br />degradation and availability issues. <br />Each Synovus business unit updates Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and Business Continuity <br />Plans (BCPs) annually. The BCPs document roles and responsibilities, critical business processes, <br />dependencies, third-party relationships and criticality, Recovery Time Objectives / Recovery Point <br />Objectives, and upstream / downstream impacts. Plans and associated call trees are updated <br />regularly and are tested at least annually. <br />Synovus maintains business continuity and emergency communication systems that are available <br />and utilized during network outage and emergency response events such as hurricanes and winter <br />storms. <br />Applications are risk assessed and documented disaster recovery plans are updated regularly and <br />tested at least annually for higher risk systems. <br />Ongoing due diligence and monitoring is performed on vendor-hosted or vendor-managed <br />applications and/or processes.
