CrTr FLO <br />OF SVS+ AaV <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Fabricio Volpi, Public Works Director <br />DATE: August 15, 2024 <br />RE: Approval of an Agreement with Goodyear for Fleet Maintenance and Repair <br />Services <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />The City is in need of a primary contractor to provide maintenance and repair services to City owned <br />vehicles and trucks up to 1 % ton as more particularly described in Invitation to Bid No. 22-08-01 (ITB). <br />The City duly advertised the ITB , with The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company (Contractor) being one <br />of two vendors to provide a bid in response. <br />The City and Contractor entered into an Agreement on September 23, 2022, for an initial 2 -year term, in <br />an amount not to exceed $180,000.00, with options to renew for an additional three 1 -year renewal <br />periods. However, the City has been informed by Contractor that the agreement of September 23, 2022 <br />is ultra vires, and a new agreement must be executed. The Contractor continues to be qualified, willing <br />and able to provide the services on the terms and conditions. <br />Item Number: 10.0 <br />143 <br />
