("West") and I take this opportunity to provide <br />additional information, which may be useful to evaluate the firm's ability to provide quality <br />Construction services. <br />West was previously selected as the General Contractor for the North Pompano Park, which <br />included the demolition and reconstruction of sports fields, as well as the reroofing of existing <br />buildings in a 20-acre park and the Pompano Ocean Headquarters Project consisting of the <br />renovation of the existing building and the addition of a second floor. <br />These projects ($3.6 million and $5.9 million, respectively) carried a great degree of complexity, <br />public involvement, interaction with City Commission and other City officials, and attention to <br />detail. <br />During the design and construction efforts, the firm strived to keep us informed of progress and <br />status of each assigned project. West personnel is courteous and responds to requests in a <br />timely manner using a variety of methods including, but not limited to, telephone calls (regular <br />and cells), e-mails, mail, and in person (meetings or periodic visits). <br />The firm is very familiar with our Municipality's needs and/or assigned project(s) and has <br />demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of our GO Bond infrastructure program.
