Broward Boulevard <br />Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 <br />FOR CONTRACTOR: <br />ARTICLE 11 -ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS <br />11.1The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for compliance by any subcontractor or lower tier <br />subcontractor or material supplier with the clauses set forth in this section. All subcontractor or lower <br />tier subcontractor or material supplier shall be bound by the insurance provisions contained with Article <br />8. <br />11.2Equal Employment Opportunity -Non Discrimination.In connection with the implementation of this <br />Project, CONTRACTOR shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment <br />because of race, color, creed, sex, disability, sexual preference, sexual identity or affinity, age, or national <br />origin. CONTRACTOR agrees to take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that <br />employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, creed, sex, disability, <br />sexual preference, sexual identity or sexual affinity, age, or national origin. Such action shall include, but <br />not be limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, demotion or transfer, recruitment or recruitment <br />advertising, layoff or termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training, <br />including apprenticeship. CONTRACTOR agrees to post in conspicuous places, available to employees <br />and applicants for employment,notices to be provided setting forth the provisions of this <br />nondiscrimination clause. CONTRACTOR further agrees to ensure that subcontractor(s), if any, will be <br />made aware of and will comply with this nondiscriminationclause. <br />11.3Title VI Civil Rights Act of 1964.CONTRACTOR shall assure compliance of itself and all <br />subcontractors under this Project with all requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of1964. <br />11.4Drug free Workplace.CONTRACTOR shall comply with the terms of the State of Florida Drug free <br />Workplace Requirements and execute a drug free workplace certification if requested by SHERIFF in <br />a form suitable toSHERIFF. <br />11.5Security Clearancesemployees, agents, workers and <br />subcontractors who work physically at the Project site are subject to criminal background checks <br />conducted by SHERIFF.
