CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />18070 Collins Ave. | Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160 <br />305.792.1707| sibfl.net| Purchasing@sibfl.net <br />Two twenty-cubic-yard capacity dump trucks <br />One Utility Box Truck or Van <br />Two portable gasoline generators(5000 W Minimum) <br />Four (4) 48” minimum swath rotary lawn mowers <br />Four utility carts that can traverse landscaped areas without damaging plants or <br />irrigation <br />One Skid-steer Loader with the following accessories: Tree Boom, Fork, Bucket, and <br />Auger <br />A two-way communication system between all of the Contractors service vehicles, <br />their main office, and City personnel <br />The Contractor must own or have leased the equipment at the time of bid submittal. The <br />City may require proof of such ownership or lease agreement at its sole discretion. <br />3.4.2EQUIPMENT SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />MOWERSAll mowers must be rotary mowers with a maximum of a 72” cut. In the <br />event that Bermuda, Paspalum, or Zoysia grass are added into City <br />property, reel mowers must be used. Rotary mowersshall be adjusted <br />to 2 1/2” or 3” cutting height as directed by City, shall be in good repair, <br />shall have no oil or gas leaks, and shall be equipped with grass catchers <br />and sharp blades. Mower blades shall be sharpened or new prior to each <br />cut. All rotary mowers must be mulching-type mowers with no discharge <br />allowed, or all clippings must be manually removed. All equipment must <br />bemaintained in sound working condition in order not to exceed <br />comfortable decibel levels or as determined by the City at its sole <br />discretion. Any <br />Work performed in the public right-of-way will require the prior approval of the appropriate <br />public agencies. These public agencies include, but are not limited to, the City, Miami-Dade <br />County Public Works Department, and FDOT. The bidder shall include all appropriate traffic <br />control devices that conform to an approved Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan. The cost of the <br />MOT shall be taken into consideration and all traffic control costs shall be a part of the unit price <br />bid and shall not be paid for separately.
