Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting September 18, 2014 City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br />5E. A Special Presentation to Vice Mayor Isaac Aelion by the Santos FC Soccer Club. <br />Action: [City Clerk's Note: Item 5E it,as heard after 3B.] Coach Robson Manente and <br />several members of the Santos FC Soccer Club presented Mayor Edelcup and the City <br />Commission with a framed Brazilian Soccer Team Shirt signed by the team members. <br />Mayor Edelcup and the Commission thanked them and noted it will be displayed in the <br />Gymnasium at Pelican Community Park. Vice Mayor Aelion thanked Coach Robson and <br />noted that there are two or three times this many children when they play soccer in Gwen <br />Margolis Park. He said he facilitated having the Club at the Park and that they had all the <br />equipment and hours they needed in order to play Soccer. <br />[City Clerk's Note: Item 5A itvas heard after Item 5E.] <br />6. ZONING: ZONING HEARINGS ARE QUASI - JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br />6A. Request of Palazzo Di Acqualina - GSF Acquisition, LLC for Property Located at 17901 <br />Collins Avenue for the Following: (Hearing #Z2014 -09) <br />Summary: The Applicant is seeking approval of a site plan application for a 51 -story <br />residential condominium with 190 dwelling units and 1,089300 square feet of floor area. <br />The Applicant is also requesting approval of the purchase of Transfer Development Rights <br />( "TDRs ") in the amount of 15,797 square feet of floor area and 7 dwelling units from the <br />City's Transfer of Development Rights Bank ( "TDR Bank "). Additionally, the Applicant is <br />requesting approval of the use of mural and graphics on temporary construction fencing. <br />Requests: <br />1. Pursuant to Section 265 -18 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Land Development <br />Regulations, the Applicant is requesting a site plan approval for a 51 -story residential <br />condominium with 190 dwelling units and with a total Floor Area Ratio (FAR) of <br />1,089,300 square feet. <br />2. Pursuant to Section 265 -23 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Land Development <br />Regulations, the Applicant is requesting the utilization of public TDRs in the amount <br />of 15,797 square feet of floor area and zero (0) dwelling units. An adjustment to be <br />made for a decrease of 15,797 square feet of floor area and 7 dwelling units in the <br />City's TDR Bank. <br />3. Pursuant to Section 265- 11(N)(2) and Section 265 -18(H) of the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach Land Development Regulations, the Applicant is requesting an extension of 48 <br />additional months to pull a building permit, from the date of expiration of the <br />development order provided that the site plan is approved by the City Commission. <br />4.
