' FLO <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Rick Labinsky, P.E., City Engineer <br />DATE: November 21, 2024 <br />RE: Approval of an Agreement with Keith and Associates for a Contract Extension <br />for Engineering Services for the Bella Vista Park Project <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach approved Keith and Associates to perform engineering design, permitting <br />and construction services for a new park at the Bella Vista property with Resolution Nos. 2022-3334, <br />2022-3444, and 2024-3635, for a total approved contract amount of $237,030.00. That contract has <br />expired with a total remaining balance of $118,888.00. Due to the expiration of the original agreement <br />the consultant has submitted a new proposal for the remaining services to be completed, staff is <br />recommending approving this agreement to complete the project in the amount of $108,145.00 for <br />design completion, seawall permitting, bidding, permitting and construction. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />This approval does not require any additional funding allocation. As the design engineer for this project, <br />it is necessary to continue to utilize the services of Keith and Associates to perform this work to <br />complete the project. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Funds have been appropriated in account no. 300-6-5720-465000-10001. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution <br />Project Agreement <br />Item Number: 9.J <br />369 <br />
