Hence in order to raise the structure a complete foundation rehabilitation <br />and redesign need to occur to sustain the jacking loads. <br />Level III alteration would require demolition of the corners of the house to add corner <br />columns. <br />Floor ledgers (2nd floor) need to be installed to comply with current code and standards. <br />Pursuant to FEMA, if the cost of the renovations exceeds 50% of the value of the <br />structure without the land, the structure has to be elevated to meet current flood <br />requirements.
