Graves (1920s) and Kurtis R. Froedtert (1930s), developers <br />of Atlantic Island, and <br />Whereas, the Water Court Villa and Pergola is architecturally significant for its <br />Mediterranean style, and <br />Whereas, the preservation of historic buildings is in the best interest of Dade <br />County and its citizens, and <br />Whereas, the Water Court Villa and Pergola is located on Atlantic Island, Plat Book <br />34, p. 17. Lots 71 and 72 and tract marked pergola landing. <br />Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Historic Preservation Board an Thursday, <br />January 19, 1984, has designated the Water Court Villa and Pergola as an individual <br />historic site pursuant to the Metropolitan Dade County Historic Preservation Ordinance <br />(81-13) and that the Water Court Villa and Pergola is subject to all rights, privileges <br />and requirements of that ordinance. <br />Designation is approved as evidenced by the signature of the <br />Historic Preservation Board Chairman. <br />Page 63 of 98 74 <br />
