RESOLUTION NO. 2025 -.3 7F� <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2024-3769; RATIFYING THE PURCHASE OF <br />A 2024 FORD F-550 SUPER CAB CHASSIS FROM ALAN JAY FLEET SALES, IN AN <br />AMOUNT :NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED <br />TWO DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($181,602.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE <br />THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on November 2111, 2024, via Resolution No. 2024-3769, the City Commission <br />of the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") authorized the purchase of a 2024 Ford F-550 Super <br />Cab Chassis (the "Truck") and Hydraulic Crane (the "Crane") from Hawkeye Truck Equipment Co, <br />Inc. ("Hawkeye") for use during maintenance and beautification projects of the City requiring <br />use of heavy-duty equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, the quote from Hawkeye did not include the sale of the Truck; <br />WHEREAS, Alan Jay Fleet Sales provided the City with a quote for both the Truck and <br />Crane; and <br />WHEREAS, in December 2024, the City Manager authorized the purchase of the Truck <br />and Crane from Alan Jay Fleet Sales ("Alan Jay"), in an amount not to exceed One Hundred <br />Eighty -One Thousand Six Hundred Two Dollars and No Cents ($181,602.00); and <br />WHEREAS, the City will utilize the pricing and terms under Sourcewell Contract No. 2025 <br />091521 -NAF & 032824 -NAF; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to section 62-13(I) of the City's Code of Ordinances, purchases <br />made through intergovernmental cooperative purchasing arrangements or purchasing <br />consortiums organized as a corporation not for profit whose members are governmental <br />entities, provided that such cooperative purchasing arrangements or consortiums provide for a <br />competitive process to select a vendor are exempt from the City's competitive bidding <br />requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to rescind Resolution No. 2024-3769, and ratifies the <br />purchase of the Truck and Crane from Alan Jay, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred <br />Eighty -One Thousand Six Hundred Two Dollars and No Cents ($181,602.00), attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A". <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1.
