Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions <br />and Division-1 Specification sections, apply to work of this section. <br /> <br />1.2 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. This specification describes non-shrink epoxy grout and non-shrink cement-based grout to be <br />used wherever shown or implied on the drawings or called for in the specifications. <br /> <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Product data: Submit product data for the non-shrink grout verifying the products' compliance <br />with this specification, and describing the manufacturer's placement recommendations. <br /> <br />PART 2 – PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.1 MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Non-Shrink Epoxy Grout: All epoxy grout shall be a pourable, non-shrink, 100% solids epoxy <br />system. The epoxy grout system shall be supplied in units consisting of three components: resin, <br />hardener, and specially-blended aggregate, all premeasured and prepackaged. <br /> <br />B. Resin component shall not contain any non-reactive diluents. Resins containing butyl glycidyl <br />ether (BGE) or other highly volatile and hazardous reactive diluents are not acceptable. <br /> <br />C. Variation of component ratios is not permitted unless specifically recommended by the <br />manufacturer. <br /> <br />D. The non-shrink epoxy grout shall exhibit the following properties: <br /> <br />1. Working life: The mixed epoxy grout system shall have a minimum "working life" of 45 <br />minutes at 75 degrees F. <br /> <br />2. Non-Shrink: No shrinkage (0.0%) and a maximum 4.0% expansion when tested in <br />accordance with ASTM C 827. <br /> <br />3. Compressive Strength: The hardened epoxy grout shall attain a minimum compressive <br />strength of 5,500 psi in 24 hours and 10,000 psi in seven days when tested according to <br />ASTM C 579, Method B. <br /> <br />4. Thermal Coefficient: The epoxy grout shall exhibit a maximum thermal coefficient of <br />.000030 -6 in./in./Fahrenheit when tested according to ASTM C 531 or ASTM D 696. <br /> <br />5. Effective Bearing Area: The epoxy grout shall exhibit a minimum effective bearing area <br />of 95%. <br />
