Verify that sections to be cut have been marked and all embedded utilities have <br />been disconnected and capped. <br /> <br />B. Do not commence work until conditions are acceptable to the Port. <br /> <br />3.2 PREPARATION <br />A. Contractor is responsible for provision of adequate power and water supply for <br />equipment at time of cutting. Coordinate use of and obtain approval for site <br />resources with the Port. <br /> <br />B. Prepare temporary enclosures and sufficient barricades to reasonably contain slurry. <br /> <br />C. Shore cut off material sufficient to prevent displacement upon completion of the saw <br />cut. <br />D. Contractor to provide rigging and lifting equipment and personnel to remove cut off <br />material from the work area as soon as practical and in the safest manner possible. <br />E. Inspect diamond blade for the condition of the segments and core. Do not use <br />the blade if any of the following conditions exist: core cracks, missing or broken <br />segments, loss of tension or any other condition as mentioned in the blade <br />manufacturer's instructions. <br /> <br />F. Check to confirm that the blades are of a proper specification for the material being <br />cut. <br />3.3 CLEANUP <br /> <br />A. Pump slurry to a suitable container during cutting operations as required. <br /> <br />B. At completion of cutting operations and removal of cut off material wash all adjacent <br />remaining structure clean of all slurry, collect washing and pump to a suitable <br />container. <br />C. Dispose of slurry in the proper manner off site or at the direction of the Port on <br />site. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br />
