Make welds the <br />same size as pipe wall thickness unless otherwise indicated. <br /> <br />1. Unless otherwise indicated, fabricate from Schedule 40 steel pipe. <br /> <br />2. Unless otherwise indicated, provide 1/2-inch (12.7-mm) baseplates with four 5/8- <br />inch (16-mm) anchor bolts and 1/4-inch (6.4-mm) top plates. <br /> <br />F. Galvanize miscellaneous framing and supports where indicated. <br />G. Prime miscellaneous framing and supports with [zinc-rich primer] [primer specified in <br />Section 099600 "High-Performance Coatings"] where indicated. <br /> <br />2.7 PREFABRICATED BUILDING COLUMNS <br /> <br />A. <Double clicks here to find, evaluate, and insert list of manufacturers and products.> <br /> <br />B. General: Provide prefabricated building columns consisting of load-bearing structural-steel <br />members protected by concrete fireproofing encased in an outer non-load-bearing steel <br />shell. Fire-Resistance Ratings: Provide prefabricated building columns listed and labeled by a <br />testing and inspecting agency acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction for ratings <br />indicated, based on testing according to ASTM E 119. <br /> <br />1. Fire-Resistance Rating: [4 hours] [3 hours] [2 hours] [As indicated]. <br /> <br />2.8 SHELF ANGLES <br /> <br />A. Fabricate shelf angles from steel angles of sizes indicated and for attachment to concrete <br />framing. Provide horizontally slotted holes to receive 3/4-inch (19-mm) bolts, spaced not <br />more than 6 inches (150 mm) from ends and 24 inches (600 mm) o.c., unless otherwise <br />indicated. <br /> <br />1. Provide mitered and welded units at corners. <br /> <br />2. Provide open joints in shelf angles at expansion and control joints. Make open joint <br />approximately 2 inches (50 mm) larger than expansion or control joint. <br /> <br />B. For cavity walls, provide vertical channel brackets to support angles from backup masonry <br />and concrete. <br /> <br />C. Galvanize [ and prime] shelf angles located in exterior walls. <br /> <br />D. Prime shelf angles located in exterior walls with [zinc-rich primer.] [primer specified in <br />Section 099600 "High-Performance Coatings."] <br /> <br />E. Furnish wedge-type concrete inserts, complete with fasteners, to attach shelf angles to <br />cast-in-place concrete. <br /> <br />2.9 METAL LADDERS <br />
