ENROLLED <br />2025 Legislature <br />SB 2-C <br />20252Cer <br />59 providing council duties; requiring the Department of <br />60 Law Enforcement to provide administrative support to <br />61 the council; creating s. 908.1033, F.S.; creating the <br />62 Local Law Enforcement Immigration Grant Program within <br />63 the State Board of Immigration Enforcement for a <br />64 certain purpose; providing requirements for the <br />65 application and awarding of grants; providing for <br />66 rulemaking; amending s. 908.104, F.S.; revising <br />67 agencies and persons who must use best efforts to <br />68 support the enforcement of federal immigration law; <br />69 providing that certain entities may not prohibit or <br />70 restrict a law enforcement officer from performing <br />71 certain actions; requiring specified parties to <br />72 provide certain information to a federal immigration <br />73 agency; expanding the criteria for receiving a certain <br />74 exemption; revising applicability; amending s. <br />75 908.105, F.S.; providing additional requirements for <br />76 law enforcement agencies that have custody of <br />77 specified persons; requiring the Attorney General to <br />78 initiate judicial proceedings in the name of the state <br />79 in order to enforce compliance with an immigration <br />80 detainer issued by a federal immigration agency; <br />81 providing penalties; prohibiting public funds from <br />82 being used to defend or reimburse certain persons for <br />83 specified unlawful conduct; amending s. 908.107, F.S.; <br />84 specifying that certain officers are subject to <br />85 suspension from office; amending s. 908.11, F.S.; <br />86 revising the entities required to enter into certain <br />87 agreements with the United States Immigration and <br />Page 3 of 51 <br />CODING: Words men are deletions; words underlined are additions. 236 <br />
