RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - S� <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, AWARDING INVITATION TO BID NO. 25-01-01 TO, AND APPROVING <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH, WAYPOINT CONTRACTING, INC. TO PROVIDE <br />CONSTRUCTION RENOVATION SERVICES FOR THE ANNEX BUILDING LOCATED <br />AT 18050 COLLINS AVENUE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR MILLION <br />TWENTY THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE DOLLARS AND NO CENTS <br />($4,020,365.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") is in need of a contractor to provide <br />construction renovation services for the city -owned building located at 18050 Collins Avenue <br />(the "Services"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City issued and advertised Invitation to Bid No. 20-01-01 (the "Bid") for <br />the Services, and received nine (9) responses with Waypoint Contracting, Inc. (the "Contractor") <br />being the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, the Contractor has represented to the City that it possesses the requisite <br />qualifications, expertise, and licenses to perform all necessary work in connection with the <br />Services specified in the Bid; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to award the Bid to, and approve an Agreement <br />with, the Contractor to provide the desired Services, in an amount not to exceed Four Million <br />Twenty Thousand Three Hundred Sixty -Five Dollars and No Cents ($4,020,365.00), which <br />includes an amount of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($300,000.00) for <br />contingency, if necessary, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Award of Bid No. 25-01-01 and Approval of Agreement. The City Commission <br />hereby awards Bid No. 25-01-01 to, and approves an Agreement with, the Contractor to provide <br />the desired Services, in an amount not to exceed Four Million Twenty Thousand Three Hundred <br />Sixty -Five Dollars and No Cents ($4,020,365.00), which includes an amount of Three Hundred <br />Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($300,000.00) for contingency, if necessary, attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said. <br />Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 4. Effective Date.
