<br />ITB 24-06-02 CITYWIDE LANDSCAPING SERVICES 37 <br /> <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />18070 Collins Ave. | Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160 <br />305.792.1707 | sibfl.net | Purchasing@sibfl.net <br />SECTION 3 <br />Performance Standards & Technical Specifications <br /> <br />3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach (the “City”) intends to secure the services of qualified, experienced, <br />and licensed contractor(s) (the “Contractor”) to provide citywide (Parks & Right-of-ways) Landscape <br />Maintenance Services, in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications contained in this <br />Invitation to Bid (ITB). <br /> <br />The awarded Contractor is expected to begin work no later than November 1, 2024. It is the intent <br />of this bid document that all work shall result in compliance with the contract documents and all <br />regulatory requirements applicable to such service. <br /> <br />STANDARDS AND REFERENCES <br /> <br />The landscape maintenance personnel shall be well versed in Florida maintenance operations and <br />procedures, Florida Friendly Landscaping, and Integrated Pest Management practices. All <br />employees shall be competent and skilled in their particular job in order to ensure that they properly <br />perform the work assigned. The following organizations provide standards and publications which <br />shall be used as a guide for conducting grounds maintenance services. Any deviations from these <br />standards should be approved by the City in writing: <br /> <br />• Florida Cooperative Extension Services, 18710 SW 288th Street, Homestead, Florida, <br />33030. <br />• Florida Turf-Grass Association, Inc., 302 Graham Avenue, Orlando, Florida, 328036399. <br />• National Recreation and Park Association, 1601 N. Kent Street, Arlington, Virginia, 22209. <br />• Florida Recreation and Park Association, 1406 Hays Street, Suite 1, Tallahassee, Florida, <br />32301. <br />• Florida Department of Transportation, "Manual on Traffic Controls and Safe Practices for <br />Street & Highway Construction, Maintenance and Utility Operations." <br />• Institute for Regional Conservation. <br />• Federal Environmental Protection Agency <br />• Florida Department of Environmental Protection. <br />• American National Standards Institute A-300 Standards. <br />• Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association. <br /> <br />3.2 LOCATIONS OF WORK <br /> <br /> Accompanying these specifications is an area service map attached hereto as Exhibits B through F <br />defining areas to be serviced and maintained. By submitting a Bid, the Bidder certifies that he/she <br />is familiar with the sites, service areas, the proposed scope of work, performance standards and <br />technical specifications, prior to submitting a Bid. The City reserves the right to remove or include <br />specific locations on a temporary or permanent basis, as deemed appropriate. <br /> <br />
