C`rk QF 5'!LA l yU <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Rick Labinsky, P.E., City Engineer <br />DATE: April 17, 2025 <br />RE: Request to Approve the Agreement with FDOT to Allow Atlantic Isles Historic <br />Bridge Reconstruction, Atlantic Ave., to Construct Improvements on City <br />Streets on Atlantic Isles and Atlantic Avenue. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />The Florida Department of Transportation has a project to reconstruct the historic bridge on Atlantic <br />Ave. Through Resolution No. 2018-2801, the City entered into an Off -System Construction and <br />Maintenance Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the rehabilitation of the <br />Atlantic Isle Bridge 874218. As this project has progressed, the project number has changed as well as <br />the scope. This project will include complete reconstruction of the historic bridge, maintaining the <br />aesthetics of the historic components of the bridge.
