ORDINANCE NO. 2025 - &g AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2024-618; APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT NO. BA2425-04 TO THE CITY'S OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET FOR THE 2024-2025 FISCAL YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 200.065 and 166.241, Florida Statutes, and the City Charter, the City Commission adopted the budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 ("Budget") by Ordinance No. 2024-618; and WHEREAS, the City's Finance Director has determined a need to amend the Budget to: (1) Allocate $1,066,809 this fiscal year to purchase 24 vehicles originally planned for fiscal year 25-26 to prevent delays and avoid potential tariff increases, also Increased Allocation $121,974 to purchase 24 vehicles instead of 20 vehicles, which includes 3 vehicles for Public Works and an 8 -passenger golf cart for CCS; (2) Allocate $230,000 to install cameras in the elevators at Government Center, PCP, Heritage Park and Gateway Park; (3) Transfer $10,000 from Media professional services to capital outlay for five kiosks to place in the lobbies of the customer service areas for customers to provide feedback on the service they received; (4) Allocate $110,000 for a turn -key Public Works storage building at the Lehman, $285,500 to purchase two additional lifeguard towers and Transfer $100,000 to the proper capital outlay account for one lifeguard tower; (5) Allocate $100,800 this fiscal year to purchase 2 vehicles originally planned for fiscal year 25-26 to prevent delays and avoid potential tariff increase and increase allocation $50.261 to purchase two (2) vehicles instead of one (1) vehicle; and WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it is necessary to amend the Budget, as set forth in Exhibit "A", based upon the review and analysis provided by the Finance Director. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part by this Ordinance upon adoption hereof. Section 2. Budget Amendment. The Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 adopted by Ordinance No. 2024-618 is hereby amended as Amendment No. BA2425-04 to reflect the revisions in Exhibit "A". All other terms and conditions of Ordinance No. 2024-618 not otherwise amended by this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. Section 3. Authorization of City Manager.
