.02 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - .. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF BUDGETED FUNDS FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF NINE (9) VEHCILES FROM BARTOW FORD, IN AN AMOUNT NOT <br />TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED <br />SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS AND EIGHTEEN CENTS ($447,475.18) INCLUDING A <br />CONTIGENCY, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on September 12th, 2024, via Ordinance No. 2024-618, the City Commission <br />of the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") adopted the Operating and Capital Improvement Budget <br />for the Fiscal Year Commencing October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025 ("Adopted <br />Budget"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City's Police Department is in need of purchasing six (6) police vehicles <br />with prisoner cages; the Code Compliance Department is in need of one (1) 2025 Ranger 44, <br />and the Cultural & Community Services Department is in need of two (2) vehicles (collectively <br />"Vehicles"); and <br />WHEREAS, the purchase of these Vehicles was included in the Adopted Budget FY24/25; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Bartow Ford (the "Vendor") has the Vehicles readily available for purchase; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the purchase of these Vehicles will be made utilizing Pasco County Award Bid <br />No. IFB-RR-21-042 contract; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-13 (C) of the City's Code of Ordinances, purchases <br />made under state general service administration contracts, federal, county or other <br />governmental contracts or competitive bids with other governmental agencies are exempt from <br />the City's competitive bidding requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, <br />to expend budgeted funds for the purchase of the Vehicles from the Vendor, in an amount not <br />to exceed Four Hundred Forty -Seven Thousand Four Hundred Seventy -Five Dollars and <br />Eighteen Cents ($447,475.18), which includes a contingency in the amount of Twenty -Three <br />Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($23,000.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Purchase. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase of the <br />Vehicles from the Vendor, in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Forty -Seven Thousand <br />@BCL@CC05826E.doc Page 1 of 2 97 <br />
