RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN SPENDING AUTHORITY WITH WEX BANK FOR THE PURCHASE OF CITYWIDE UNLEADED FUEL USING A FUEL CARD PROGRAM, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($70,000.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on April 15, 2021, via Resolution No. 2021-3185, the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") approved the issuance of a Purchase Order to WEX Bank (the "Contractor") for the purchase of unleaded fuel utilizing their Fuel Card Program (the "Fuel"), in an amount not to exceed $215,000.00 per Fiscal Year; and WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to authorize an increase in spending authority with the Contractor to purchase the Fuel, in an amount not to exceed Seventy Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($70,000.00), bringing the total spending authority to an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($320,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of First Amendment. The City Commission hereby authorizes an increase in spending authority with the Contractor to purchase the Fuel, in an amount not to exceed Seventy Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($70,000.00), bringing the total spending authority to an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($320,000.00) for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
