City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Genesis Cuevas, Procurement Director & Fabricio Volpi, Public Works <br />Director <br />DATE: May 15, 2025 <br />RE: Authorizing an Increase Spending Authority with WEX Bank to Purchase <br />Unleaded Fuel <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />Through Resolution No. 2021-318, the City Commission approved the Purchase Order for WEX Bank for <br />the purchase of unleaded fuel using a Fuel Card Program, in an Amount Not to Exceed $250,000.00 per <br />Fiscal Year, utilizing State of Florida Contract #78181701-21-NASPO-ACS. <br />The city is requesting an additional $70,000.00 for the purchase of unleaded fuel for the remainder of <br />the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year. <br />The State of Florida contract expires December 31, 2025. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Various Citywide Fleet and Transportation accounts. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution <br />Item Number: 9.G <br />162 <br />
