The City shall seek to improve the climate change resiliency of new and <br />existing buildings through the inclusion of resilience and adaptation <br />strategies in the Land Development Regulations and building code by 2020. <br />Maintain and improve the quality of the beach's natural and man-made environment <br />beach access, and ocean view corridors while continuing to promote compatible <br />beachfront development on remaining underutilized parcels. <br />Policies <br />10A. Ensure that new developments along the beach provide the necessary on-site <br />amenities to accommodate the needs of residents and/or guests. <br />1013. Consistent with maintaining view corridors and promoting compatible <br />relationships with adjacent properties and the beachfront, encourage and <br />support increased front setbacks of new structures east of Collins Avenue to <br />provide expanded public pedestrian circulation space, reduce building scale <br />impacts and provide for additional buffering and landscape enhancements to <br />assure a high quality environment along the Collins Avenue corridor. <br />2 The reshaping of the high density Collins Avenue Corridor in the next ten years will establish much of the City's <br />character for several future generations. <br />FUTURE LAND USE Page 123 <br />58 <br />
