RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - _3ej <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />HONORING ISRAELI CONSUL GENERAL MAOR ELBAZ-STARINSKY WITH A KEY TO <br />THE CITY IN RECOGNITION OF HIS DIPLOMATIC SERVICE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />CLERK TO ISSUE A KEY TO THE CITY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Maor Elbaz-Starinsky was the Consul General of Israel to Miami and the <br />Southeastern United States, representing the State of Israel with distinction and dedication; and <br />WHEREAS, throughout his tenure, Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky worked tirelessly to <br />strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Israel and communities across <br />Florida, including the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City"); and <br />WHEREAS, Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky actively promoted cultural exchange, economic <br />collaboration, and educational partnerships that enriched the lives of residents and fostered <br />mutual understanding; and <br />WHEREAS, his leadership was marked by a commitment to dialogue, inclusivity, and the <br />advancement of shared democratic values; and <br />WHEREAS, Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky was engaged with diverse communities, <br />supported interfaith initiatives, and advocated for peace and prosperity through diplomacy; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes the importance of international relationships <br />and the role of diplomatic leaders in building bridges across cultures and nations; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to present Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky with a <br />"Key to the City" in recognition of his diplomatic service. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Issuance of Key. The City Commission hereby approves the issuance of <br />a "Key to the City" to Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky. <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Clerk. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to issue a Key to the <br />City to be bestowed upon Consul General Elbaz-Starinsky. <br />Section 3. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate the terms of this resolution. <br />Section 4. Effective Date.
