City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Proposal No. 14‐10‐01 16 Section 3 Scope of Services / Technical Specifications 3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES Proposed are relocations and removals of existing trees and palms within the roadway corridor of NE 174th Street. Bids shall include all labor and material to perform said removals/relocations, including but not limited to bed preparation and mulching at relocation sites, staking and guying, stump removals, root pruning and trimming as well as any other incidentals reasonably required to perform the work outlined in this scope of services. The successful proposer shall be required to maintain the relocated trees for a period of one (1) year after relocation. The City may endeavor to root prune the trees designated for relocation prior to the successful proposer’s start of work. In this event, the construction duration for removal and relocation of the existing plant material shall be thirty (30) days from notice to proceed to substantial completion. Final completion shall be fourteen (14) days thereafter. In the event that the root pruning activities are to be included in this scope of services, a maximum of sixty (60) days shall be allotted between root pruning and tree relocation. Construction duration shall be seventy (70) days from notice to proceed for substantial completion. Final completion shall be considered as fourteen (14) days thereafter. The Miami-Dade County tree removal permit application has been submitted to the Tree Permitting Program by the City. Regardless of root pruning, the successful contractor shall be responsible to securing any additional permits through the City or County for the scope of work described herein. If any portion of the contract documents or plans is not clear or contradictive, the proposer is to submit a question/clarification in writing prior to submitting a bid proposal. END OF SECTON
