Tree Disposition Legend and Details LIST OF EXISTING TREES RELOCATION / TRANSPLANTING NOTES 1. Unless otherwise noted the Contractor is REQUIRED to root prune all trees a minimum of 28 DAYS prior to relocation. 2. Unless otherwise noted, all relocated trees less than 9"DBH shall be relocated using a 90" tree spade by an operator experienced and trained in this area. The Landscape Architect will supply a list of local companies capable of this type of work upon request. 3. Trees larger than 9" DBH shall be root pruned by hand under the supervision of a certiﬁed arborist. 4. A Landscape Architect's approval and special relocation speciﬁcations shall be required if root pruning 90 DAYS prior to relocation is not possible. No species of tree, (OTHER THAN PALMS), shall be moved with less than 90 DAYS between root pruning and relocation. SPECIFIC EXCEPTIONS MAY BE ALLOWED BY THE CITY WHEN APPLIED FOR. 5. Trees larger than 9"DBH shall be relocated by means of a crane by a company experienced and trained in this area. The Landscape Architect will supply a list of local companies capable of this type of work upon request. 6. After root prunning it is the contractor's responsibility to install a temporary irrigation system to cover each of the trees scheduled to be relocated. This includes the water and power source. Each shade tree shall have two ﬂood bubblers within a soil berm around the rootball. Each palm shall have one ﬂood bubbler within a soil berm around the rootball. Each tree scheduled to be relocated shall be irrigated immediately following root pruning. Trees not scheduled for root pruning shall be irrigated at the same time and by the same method as root pruned trees. 7. The installation of relocated trees shall adhere to all details and speciﬁcations applicable to nursery stock and included in the landscape plans for this project. 8. It is the Contractor's responsiblility to ﬁll in all holes left by the removal or relocation of an existing tree with approved planting soil or soil approved for the needs of the work at that location. 9. The contractor shall guarantee the trees relocated for a period of 1 calendar year after relocation.
