<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />NE 174th Street Roadway Improvements <br />329301 - 1 Transplanting <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 329301 - TREE TRANSPLANTING <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 RELATED DOCUMENTS: <br /> <br />A. All applicable provisions of the BIDDING REQUIREMENTS, CONTRACT FORMS, and <br />CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT AND DIVISION 1, GENERAL REQUIREMENTS shall <br />govern the work under this section. <br /> <br />B. See Special Provisions Section <br /> <br />C. Review plans and specifications for related work. Site Work- excavation, backfill, compaction, <br />paving, curbs. irrigation-valve, head and line location and depth. <br /> <br /> <br />1.02 SCOPE OF WORK: <br /> <br />A. The work specified by this Section of the Specifications consists of furnishing all labor, supplies, <br />equipment and materials necessary to complete the work as shown on the Plans as well as all <br />other related responsibilities as described in these Specifications and accompanying plans. <br /> <br />1. Work shall include preparation of trees and palms for transplanting. Prune canopies and <br />roots. Relocate plants as shown and back fill as required for new material. Erect <br />protective barriers after root pruning and after transplanting. Fertilize, spray, prune and <br />maintain in healthy condition until final acceptance. Fill excavated tree pits. <br />2. Quantities and Locations: The Design Consultant reserves the right to adjust the number <br />and locations of the designated types and species to be used at any of the locations <br />shown, in order to provide for any modifications which might become necessary however <br />these should be unit priced and paid in accordance with actual usage. <br /> <br />1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br /> <br />A. Responsibility for Assuring Quality Work: <br /> <br />1. The Landscape Subcontractor shall have on site during all phases of relocation a certified <br />arborist and shall comply with all local municipal codes and regulations. <br />2. All employees shall be competent and highly skilled in their particular job in order to <br />properly perform the work assigned to them. The Subcontractor shall be responsible for <br />maintaining the quality of the material on the job throughout the duration of his/her <br />responsibility. <br /> <br />B. Protection of existing trees and palms: <br /> <br />1. Install protection barricades to prevent encroachment beneath canopies. <br />2. Replace trees which are damaged, scarred or destroyed with the same species, size and <br />quality. <br /> <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS: <br />
