r%Y OF 5U� l� <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Susan Simpson, Deputy City Manager <br />DATE: August 21, 2025 <br />RE: Approval of a First Amendment to the Agreement with Keith and Associates <br />for the Bella Vista Park Seawall Project <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach approved Keith and Associates to perform engineering design, permitting <br />and construction services for a new park at the Bella Vista property with Resolutions 2022-3334, 2022- <br />3444 and 2024-3753 for a total approved contract amount of $237,030.00. Thru the permit process with <br />FDOT and WASA, to obtain approval to construct the project, additional information is being requested. <br />Through the permit processes with WASA, to obtain approval to construct the project, additional <br />unanticipated survey and field verification of underground utility information is being requested. <br />Through the permit processes with FDOT, it was confirmed that two additional FDOT permits will be <br />required than the firm was originally advised and scoped. <br />Keith and Associates has provided a proposal for these additional services in the amount of $30,875.00. <br />Staff is recommending approval of this amendment for additional engineering services. <br />Item Number: 9.1) <br />230 <br />
