WHEREAS, the City Commission hereby finds that the adoption of this revisions promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of its citizens, and is in the best interest of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Ordinance upon adoption hereof. Section 2. Amendment of Chapter 14, §14-1 . Chapter, 14, §14-1, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, entitled "Definitions," is hereby amended as follows: § 14-1. Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms, phrases, words, and their derivations shall have the meaning given herein. When not inconsistent with the context, words used in the present tense include future, words in the plural number include the singular number and vice versa. The word "shall" is always mandatory and not merely directory.
