c,rk QF sup+ ��,o <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Tiffany Neely, Finance Director <br />DATE: September 18, 2025 <br />RE: Approval of Budget Amendment BA2425-06 for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the Ordinance. <br />REASONS: <br />Budget amendment BA2425-06 is necessary to record the following transactions: <br />A. Transfer $76,334 from the Police Department to the Ocean Rescue Department for the purchase <br />of Ocean Rescue vehicles. This funding was originally included in budget amendment BA2425-04 <br />under the Police Department. <br />B. Allocate $227,476 to support the creation of two Ocean Rescue Supervisor positions, <br />representing an increase of two full-time equivalents. These roles will be filled through internal <br />promotion of experienced full-time lifeguards, ensuring continuity of service and leadership <br />development within the team. <br />C. Transfer $45,022 from the Code Compliance Department to the Parking Compliance Department <br />for the purchase of one vehicle. This funding was originally included in budget amendment <br />BA2425-04 under the Code Compliance Department. <br />D. Allocate $255,000 for the Public Works steel building and storage shed. These additional funds are <br />required to support continued construction and implement engineering recommendations, which <br />include the installation of helical piles, to ensure safe and proper foundation support. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Ordinance <br />Budget Amendment No. BA2425-06 <br />Item Number: 8.D <br />115 <br />
