PLO <br />CrTY <br />OF 504 l.�v <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Edward Santiago, Chief of Police <br />DATE: September 18, 2025 <br />RE: Approval of an Agreement with Flymotion Inc. for the Purchase of a Mobile <br />Command Center Vehicle for the Police Department <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />The Police Department seeks commission approval to utilize Department of Justice forfeiture funds to <br />purchase a command vehicle from Flymotion Inc. The DOJ forfeiture funds will be used to purchase this <br />vehicle and will be for an amount not to exceed of $418,980.16 which includes a 15% contingency. The <br />pricing provided from Flymotion Inc. is based on Sourcewell piggyback contract# 011223 -FLM. <br />The Mobile Command Center vehicle is a specialized unit designed to serve as a mobile operations hub <br />during emergencies, large-scale events, or critical incidents. The vehicle will provide a secure and <br />equipped space for coordinating field operations, managing communications, and supporting tactical <br />decision-making. There are many operational benefits to a Mobile Command Center vehicle, especially <br />during emergencies or large-scale events. It serves as a mobile headquarters, allowing officers to <br />coordinate responses, manage communications, and access critical resources directly from the field. <br />Equipped with advanced technology, it enhances situational awareness and decision-making. <br />Additionally, it provides a secure and centralized space for briefings, planning, and collaboration among <br />multiple agencies, improving overall efficiency and response times. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Funds are available in account no. 600-3-5210-464200-99504. <br />Item Number: 9.D <br />220 <br />
