Edelcup K-8 School <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />The Police Department requests approval to contract Redspeed Florida LLC for a Speed Photo <br />Enforcement System to monitor and enforce speed limits in school zones around Norman S. Edelcup <br />School. Redspeed will provide all necessary components and services. The goal is to continue to <br />prioritize public safety through automated citation issuance for speeding violations via education and <br />enforcement to drivers.. The 5 year agreement (October 1St, 2024 —June 24th, 2029) allows for <br />termination with written notice to Redspeed Florida LLC at any time. This contract was procured via <br />piggyback RFP #005-24 through the Southeast Florida Governmental Cooperative Purchasing Group <br />led by the City of Plantation. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />The fee is a $100.00 fine for a Notice of Violation (NOV).
