RESOLUTION NO. 2025 -2-Q <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING <br />NOVEMBER 16, 2025, AS UNESCO INTERNATIONAL DAY OF TOLERANCE; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the UNESCO International Day of Tolerance, observed annually on November <br />16, promotes respect, understanding, and appreciation for the rich diversity of cultures, beliefs, <br />and perspectives around the world; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") is committed to fostering an <br />inclusive and harmonious community where empathy, dialogue, and mutual respect are <br />actively encouraged; and <br />WHEREAS, recognizing this day aligns with the City's values of civic engagement, cultural <br />awareness, and peaceful coexistence among its residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to issue a proclamation to commemorate the <br />UNESCO International Day of Tolerance, and to reaffirm the City's dedication to these <br />principles. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval Issuance of Proclamation. The City Commission hereby approves the <br />issuance of a proclamation recognizing November 16, 2025, as UNESCO International Day of <br />Tolerance in the City. <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
