The current contract will expire October 11, 2025.
This service is procured through a piggyback with the City of Miami's contract, which remains active
until June 2026. To maintain consistency and cost efficiency, we recommend aligning the terms of the
new agreement with the City of Miami's contract. This approach ensures that hourly rates will remain
unchanged and will only be subject to adjustment upon the City of Miami's renewal.
The hourly rates will not increase with this term extension.
This contract allows the Police Department to deploy thirteen (13) crossing guards and one (1)
supervisor to designated locations throughout the City. This will ensure that pedestrians commuting to
school are crossing the aforementioned designated locations safely.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Additional funds are not being requested on this extension, only time.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Item Number: 9.1-1
336
