RESOLUTION NO. 2025 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH <br />DOUGLAS W. ROBERTSON TO PROVIDE LAW ENFORCEMENT ACCREDITATION <br />CONSULTING SERVICES, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on November 161h, 2023, via Resolution No. 2023-3588, the City Commission <br />of the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") approved an Agreement with Douglas W. Robertson <br />(the "Consultant") to provide law enforcement accreditation services, pursuant to the Florida <br />Commission for Law Enforcement Accreditation ("Services"), in an amount not to exceed <br />$65,000.00, and <br />WHEREAS, on November 211t, 2025, via Resolution No. 2024-3745, the City Commission <br />approved a First Amendment to the Agreement with the Consultant for the Services, exercising <br />the first of two (2) renewal options; and <br />WHEREAS, the City being satisfied with the Services provided by the Consultant wishes <br />to exercise its second and final renewal option for a period of twelve (12) months; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to approve a Second Amendment to the <br />Agreement with the Consultant to provide Services for an additional twelve (12) month period, <br />at an hourly rate of Fifty -Five Dollars and No Cents ($55.00) per hour, not to exceed Thirty <br />Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) during Fiscal Year 2025-2026, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Second Amendment. The City Commission hereby approves a <br />Second Amendment to the Agreement with the Consultant to provide the desired Services for <br />an additional twelve (12) month period, at an hourly rate of Fifty -Five Dollars and No Cents <br />($55.00) per hour, not to exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) during Fiscal Year 2025- <br />2026, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said <br />Agreement. <br />Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. <br />Section 4. Effective Date.
