RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 5930 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF BUDGETED FUNDS FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2026 FORD F-150 TRUCKS FROM DUVAL FORD, IN AN <br />AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED <br />SEVENTY-FOUR DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($102,474.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS <br />EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY <br />TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on September 11th, 2025, via Ordinance No. 2024-635, the City Commission <br />of the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") adopted the Operating and Capital Improvement Budget <br />for the Fiscal Year Commencing October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026 ("Adopted <br />Budget"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Cultural & Community Services Department is seeking approval to <br />purchase two (2) 2026 Ford F-150 XL Regular Cab 4x4 trucks (collectively the "F-150s") from <br />Duval Ford (the "Vendor"); and <br />WHEREAS, the purchase of the F150s has been budgeted as capital items in the Adopted <br />Budget and will be purchased utilizing Florida Sheriff's Association Light Vehicle Contract No. <br />FSA 25VEL-33; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-13 (C) of the City's Code of Ordinances, purchases <br />made under state general service administration contracts, federal, county or other <br />governmental contracts or competitive bids with other governmental agencies are exempt from <br />the City's competitive bidding requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the expenditure of budgeted funds <br />for the purchase of the F-150s from the Vendor, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Two <br />Thousand Four Hundred Seventy -Four Dollars and No Cents ($102,474.00), attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Expenditure. The City Commission hereby approves the expenditure <br />of budgeted funds for the purchase of the F-150s from the Vendor, in an amount not to exceed <br />One Hundred Two Thousand Four Hundred Seventy -Four Dollars and No Cents ($102,474.00), <br />attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
