RESOLUTION NO.2025 - J <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, AWARDING INVITATION TO BID ("BID") NO. 25-09-01 TO, AND <br />APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH, AUM CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE 183,d <br />STREET AND COLLINS AVENUE LEFT TURN CONVERSION PROJECT, IN AN <br />AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED <br />FIFTY DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($109,450.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT <br />"A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br />RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") is in need of a contractor to <br />construct and bring the temporary dual left turn at 183rd Street and Collins Avenue into <br />compliance with Miami -Dade County and Florida Department of Transportation requirements <br />(the "Services"); and <br />WHEREAS, on September 26, 2025, the City issued Invitation to Bid No. 25-09-01, titled <br />183rd Street and Collins Avenue Left Turn Conversion (the. "ITB"), and received two (2) <br />electronic bid submissions; and <br />WHEREAS, AUM Construction, Inc. (the "Contractor") has represented to the City that it <br />possesses the requisite qualifications, expertise, and licenses to perform all necessary work in <br />connection with the Services specified in the ITB; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to award the ITB to, and approve an Agreement <br />with, the Contractor to provide the desired Services, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred <br />Nine Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($109,450.00), which includes a <br />contingency, if necessary, in the amount of Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars and No <br />Cents ($9,950.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Award of Bid No. 25-09-01, and Approval of Agreement. The City Commission <br />hereby awards the ITB to, and approve an Agreement with, the Contractor to provide the <br />desired Services, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Nine Thousand Four Hundred Fifty <br />Dollars and No Cents ($109,450.00), which includes a contingency, if necessary, in the amount <br />of Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($9,950.00), attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said <br />Agreement. <br />Section 3. Authorization of City Manager.
