cFr� of sy�� A�y9 <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager. <br />FROM: Fabricio Volpi, Public Works Director; Genesis Cuevas, Procurement Director. <br />DATE: October 16, 2025 <br />RE: Award ITB # 25-04-01 Bella Vista Seawall Construction Replacement to YC <br />Group, LLC.; Authorize City Manager to Execute an Agreement with YC <br />Group, LLC. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />On April 2, 2025, the City released ITB # 25-04-01 titled Bella Vista Seawall Replacement. <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach invited bids from qualified Contractors ("Bidders," "Proposers," <br />"Contractors," Proposing Bidders") to construct the replacement of approximately 192 linear feet of <br />seawall along the property frontage in accordance with the bid -set plans. The project location is 500 <br />Sunny Isles Boulevard, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160. <br />On April 14, 2025, the City held a publicly advertised sunshine non -mandatory pre-bid/site-visit meeting <br />in which six (6) interested bidders attended. <br />On May 16, 2025, the city received five (5) electronic bids from BDI Marine Contractors LLC, YC Group, <br />LLC, Kearns Construction Company, Dock and Marine Construction Corp and Unlimited Barge. <br />Two out of the five firms were considered responsive/responsible for further review. Following the site - <br />visits and review of the bids, the Procurement Department, in conjunction with the review of the <br />Project Manager recommends the City Manager to award and enter into agreement with YC Group, <br />LLC. <br />Item Number: 9.M <br />345 <br />
