RESOLUTION NO. 2026 -� <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE FOURTH AND FIFTH AMENDMENTS, AND <br />APPROVING A SIXTH AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CORRADINO GROUP, INC. FOR PLANNING AND ZONING SERVICES, IN AN <br />AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO CENTS <br />($20,000.000), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on November 9, 2021, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") issued Request <br />for Qualifications ("RFQ') No. 21-11-01 for Planning and Zoning Services, including Civil and <br />Traffic Engineering ("Services"), for which four (4) responses were received; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 20th, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3287, the City Commission <br />ranked the submittals for the RFQ and authorized the City Manager to negotiate an Agreement <br />with the top ranked firm of The Corradino Group ("Consultant"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager negotiated an Agreement with the Consultant for an initial <br />term in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00 to perform the desired Services; and <br />WHEREAS, the negotiated term of the Agreement was for (1) year, with four (4) one (1) <br />year renewal options; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 28th, 2022, via Resolution No. 2022-3384 ("Resolution"), the City <br />Commission approved a First Amendment to the Agreement to conduct a Comprehensive <br />Operational Analysis of the Sunny Isles Beach Shuttle Service ("Study"), in an amount not to <br />exceed $55,950.00; and <br />WHEREAS, via the same Resolution, the City Commission approved an increase in <br />compensation with the Consultant for the original Services of the Agreement, in an amount not <br />to exceed $85,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 24th 2023, the City Manager executed a Third Amendment to <br />the Agreement with the Consultant, thereby exercising the first of four (4) renewal options, in <br />an amount not to exceed $150,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 23rd, 2024, the City Manager executed a Fourth Amendment to <br />the Agreement with the Consultant, thereby exercising the second of four (4) renewal options, <br />with no additional compensation; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 23rd, 2025, the City Manager executed a Fifth Amendment to <br />the Agreement with the Consultant, thereby exercising the third of four (4) renewal options, <br />with no additional compensation; and <br />@Bcl@C814e2c3 Page 1 of 3 587 <br />
