2030 * <br />RL8J, The City's Arts -in -Public Places Program shall facilitate the selection, <br />commissioning and placement of works of art including: <br />• Sculptures marking entrance features; <br />• The integration of public art with streetscape furniture; <br />• Commemorative art for public squares, parks and civic facilities; <br />• Changeable public art in the dorm of seasonal graphics and civic event <br />banners and urban wall mural displays; <br />• A City Lights Program to encourage aesthetic lighting enhancements of <br />public facilities, architecture, public street landscaping, City entrances, <br />urban Village entrances, and seasonal lighting displays. <br />Energy efficient and climate change resilient development shall be accomplished <br />through land use patterns, development standards, site planning, landscaping, <br />building design, and multi -modal transportation systems. <br />Policies <br />9A. The City of Sunny Isles Beach shall facilitate contiguous urban development, <br />infill, redevelopment of substandard or underdeveloped urban areas, mixed - <br />use activity centers with a priority for the Town Center, mass transit <br />supportive development, and mixed -use projects to promote energy <br />conservation. <br />9B. Updated green design guidelines and development standards shall be <br />incorporated as appropriate in the land development regulations.0 as they <br />9C. The City of Sunny Isles Beach shall promote energy conservation by adopting <br />regulations and providing incentives to builders, remodelers, and residents <br />to implement Florida Green Building Coalition, the Leadership in Energy and <br />Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system, or other <br />acceptable environmental standards. <br />9D. The City shall investigate incentives for developers and building owners to <br />incorporate energy efficiency and other conservation measures that meet <br />recognized green building standards into the design, construction or <br />rehabilitation of their buildings. <br />FUTURE LAND USE Page 122 <br />438 <br />
