RESOLUTION NO. 2026 - <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING THE NOMINATION OF JENIFFER VISCARRA AS VICE - <br />MAYOR; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Section C-2.2(b) of the City Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") <br />provides that "...in any calendar year in which there is no regular City election, at the first <br />Commission meeting in the month of November of such year, the Mayor shall nominate a Vice - <br />Mayor from one of the four Residential Area Commissioners, subject to Commission approval;" <br />and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements set forth in the City Charter, the Mayor has <br />nominated Jeniffer Viscarra as Vice -Mayor; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to approve the Mayor's nomination. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Vice -Mayor Nomination. The City Commission hereby approves the <br />nomination ofJeniffer Viscarra as Vice -Mayor, pursuant to §2.2(b) of the City ofSunny Isles Beach <br />Municipal Charter. <br />Section 2.
