O�SVNNY IgtF.�B <br />9 City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />Proclamation <br />Carr or SUN ^No <br />WHEREAS, International Women's Day is celebrated annually on March 8 to recognize <br />the achievements of women in social, economic, cultural, and political spheres and <br />to highlight their enduring impact on communities and nations around the world; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, women have played and continue to play a critical role in shaping history, <br />advancing innovation, strengtheningfamilies, and contributing to the progress and <br />well-being of society; and <br />WHEREAS, International Women's Day also serves as an opportunity to reaffirm a <br />shared commitment to gender equality, women's empowerment, and the elimination <br />of barriers that limit opportunities for women and girls; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is a diverse and inclusive community that <br />values equity, respect, and opportunity for all residents, and recognizes the <br />important contributions of women in civic leadership, public service, business, <br />education, healthcare, and community life; and <br />WHEREAS, honoring International Women's Day reflects the City's commitment to <br />fostering an environment in which women and girls are encouraged to lead, <br />innovate, and thrive. <br />NOW THEREFORE, DOI, Larisa Svechin, as Mayor, and on behalf of the City Commission <br />of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, hereby proclaim March 8, 2026, as <br />"International Women's Day" in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my signature and affixed the great seal of the City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />Date: March 1. 2026 <br />Mayor Larisa Svechin <br />782 <br />
