RESOLUTION NO. 2014- ';L <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A LETTER AGREEMENT WITH <br />JAY CARROLL OF CARROLL ELECTRIC, VENDOR 91873, <br />AUTHORIZING THE SPENDING AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE <br />ELECTRICAL CONSULTING SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS (S50,000.00), ATTACHED <br />HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A "; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on November 21. 2013 via Resolution No. 2013 -2159 the City <br />Commission approved a Letter Agreement with Jay Carroll of Carroll Electric to provide electrical <br />consulting services when necessary throughout the City: and <br />WHEREAS, staff has recommended Jay Carroll of Carroll Electric based on his relevant <br />experience, qualifications, and past performances; and <br />WHEREAS, Jay Carroll is willing and able to perform said services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to renew the Letter Agreement with Jay Carroll <br />authorizing the spending authority to provide Electrical Consulting Services, in an amount not to <br />exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars (550,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Letter Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves the Letter <br />Agreement with Jay Carroll of Carroll Electric. Vendor-91873), authorizing the spending authority to <br />provide Electrical Consulting Services, in an amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars <br />(S50,000.00). attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
