Russo, City Manager <br />DATE: 12/18/2014 <br />RE: Cultural Facilities Grant and Restrictive Covenant for <br />Gateway Park Performance Stage Area <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached Grant <br />Agreement authorizing the City Manager to take the necessary steps to <br />receive program funds, including filing a Restrictive Covenant with Miami - <br />Dade County. <br />REASONS: <br />The City has been awarded a Cultural Facilities Grant from the Florida <br />Division of Cultural Affairs in the amount of S500,000 for the development <br />of the Performance Stage Area at Gateway Park. <br />Part of the requirement to receive funding is that the City file a Restrictive <br />Covenant with Miami -Dade County, designating the area as a Cultural <br />Facility for the next ten (10) years. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Description <br />Grant Agreement <br />Restrictive Covenent <br />Item Number: 10.N. <br />httpJ/survryislesxovtsagerKia.com/CmerSheet.aspx?itmlD=1534 1l1 <br />
