Specifically, the firm has represented the City in conferences, meetings, and by seeking State funding and grant opportunities for City programs and capital projects. The firm’s work has been similar in size and scope to the services outlined in the City of Sunny Isles Beaches Request for Proposals for professional lobbying services. As a key strategic partner to the City, firm representatives work closely with City staff and elected officials to advance the City’s State legislative policy priorities and funding requests. The firm’s primary responsibility included stewarding the City’s State appropriations requests through the legislative budget process. Since the inception of our partnership, Rubin, Turnbull & Associates has successfully secured $2.13 million in State funding for the City of Fort Lauderdale’s various projects and programs related to homeless mental health, public safety initiatives, stormwater improvements, and education enrichment. In addition to securing appropriations, they have provided ongoing legislative tracking, strategic analysis, and advocacy on issues affecting the City. The firm has demonstrated a strong understanding of municipal government and the legislative process, and has effectively engaged with State legislators, legislative staff, and executive branch officials on the City’s behalf.
