Kimsey»> Horn Traffic Impact Analysis
EXISTING TRAFFIC
A.M. peak period (7:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M.) and P.M. peak period (4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.) turning
movement counts were collected on August 20, 2025 (Wednesday) at the following intersections:
• SR 856/William Lehman Causeway and SR A1A/Collins Avenue
• SR A1A/Collins Avenue and Project Driveway
Additionally, 24-hour continuous counts were collected on August 20, 2025 (Wednesday) at the
roadway segment along SR A1A/Collins Avenue between SR 856/William Lehman Causeway and
SR 826/NE 163rd Street.
All traffic volumes were collected in 15-minute intervals and the peak hour was determined for
each intersection. Turning movement counts also included pedestrian and bicycle data. The
appropriate Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) peak season correction factor (PSCF) of
1.06 were applied to the traffic data based on the date of data collection. Existing phasing and
timing patterns were obtained from Miami -Dade County Department of Transportation and Public
Works —Traffic Signals and Signs Division for all signalized study area intersections.
The turning movement counts, 24-hour continuous roadway counts, FDOT peak season factor
category report, and signal timing data are included in Appendix C. Figure 2 presents the existing
turning movement volumes at the study intersections during the A.M. and P.M. peak hours.
K:\Ff1TPTO\OU800034- RDBH S,,nylsles\Report\Gry&Sunny Isles beach M092025.dcca Page-3 September 202S 140
