CONTRACT NO. 2026-5142 THIS CONTRACT is made and entered into this 24th day of March 2026 by and between CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, a municipal corporation of the State of Florida, whose address is 18070 Collins Avenue sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 (hereinafter referred to as "the City") and SHIFF CONSTRUCTION & DEVELOPMENT, INC., a Florida Corporation, whose Federal Employer Identification (FEI) No. is 20-2918602 (hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor"). The City and the Contractor hereby agree as follows: WHEREAS, the City is in need of a Contractor to provide construction services for the Gateway pedestrian bridge elevator enclosures, as more particularly described in the Contract Documents, which are -incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof (hereinafter referred to as the "Project" or the "Work"); and WHEREAS, the Broward Sheriff's Office ("BSO") issued Request for Letter of Interest ("RLI") No. 19031MFW, entitled "General Contractors Pre -Qualified List" for pre -qualified general contractors, and as a result, on or about December 18, 2019, BSO entered into a contract with Contractor, as a pre -qualified general contractor, effective from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022, incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A," with available renewal terms, which have been"exercised via a Fourth Amendment through December 31, 2028; and WHEREAS, two quotes were received from BSO's pre -qualified list of general contractors, and Contractor was determined to be the lowest responsible and responsive bid; WHEREAS, Contractor is a certified and insured company with the necessary experience to provide the desired Work; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an agreement with Contractor, using BSO's RLI solicitation, and the resulting contract thereto, to provide the Work as described herein and in the Contract Documents, and subject to the terms and conditions contained herein; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to contract with Contractor to provide and complete the Work for Two Hundred Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($207,500.00), plus Thirty - One Thousand One Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars and No Cents ($31,125.00) for contingency, if necessary, resulting in a total not -to -exceed amount of Two Hundred Thirty -Eight Thousand Six Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars and No Cents ($238,625.00); NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained in this Agreement and other good and valuable consideration, the adequacy and receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, the Parties agree as follows: Page 1 of 44
