t F10 4 <br />C,TY OF SOS <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />VIA: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />FROM: Derrick Arias, Chief Information Officer <br />DATE: March 19, 2026 <br />RE: Approval of the Issuance of a Purchase Order to SUNCOM for <br />Telecommunication Services and Products <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />To extend Communications with the State of Florida DMS in the amount of $100,000.00 for Citywide <br />Projects that include Telecommunication services and General Products. <br />The City intends to award a Purchase Order to Suncom, utilizing the Telecommunications Infrastructure <br />Project Services 3, RFP-13126 with the State of Florida. TIPS-3 utilizes the master contract to manage <br />all cabling infrastructure projects. TI PS-3 complies with Florida Statutes, the National Electric Code, TIA <br />standards and BICSI requirements. The TIPS-3 contract is a multi -vendor contract to provide a <br />competitive vehicle for SUNCOM customers to achieve the greatest cost savings. The IT Department <br />utilized the state's bid portal to obtain multiple quotes from contracted vendors to ensure the biggest <br />savings for our wiring projects throughout the City. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />The State of Florida DMS and the division of State Purchasing procures state contracts and agreements <br />for commodities and services that are frequently used by multiple state agencies. <br />Item Number: 9.11 <br />409 <br />
