Causley, LLC <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />On December 7, 2023, the City entered into a Professional Services Agreement with M.T. Causley, LLC <br />to provide non-exclusive structural inspection and plan review services on an as -needed basis. The <br />agreement was executed utilizing the City of Doral's solicitation # RFQ 2023-04 titles "Building <br />Inspection and Plans Review Services" and the consultant's submitted proposal, with an initial not -to - <br />exceed amount of $50,000. <br />Through Resolution No. 2024-3681, approved on July 18, 2024, the City Commission authorized the first <br />amendment to the agreement, increasing the not -to -exceed amount to $250,000. Subsequently, on <br />April 17, 2025, the City Commission approved Resolution No. 2025-3817 authorizing a second <br />amendment to increase the not -to -exceed amount from $250,000 to $500,000 to support the Building <br />Department's workload through the remainder of the piggyback contract term, ending August 22, 2026. <br />Due to ongoing challenges in filling several inspector vacancies, the Building Department continues to <br />rely on the consultant's services to maintain operational efficiency and meet inspection and plan review <br />Item Number: 9.P <br />362 <br />
