cfrx QF syN �'T'a <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />(305) 947-0606 City Hall <br />(305) 949-3113 Fax <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners <br />FROM: Stan Morris, City Manager <br />DATE: May 14, 2026 <br />RE: First Amendment to Lease Agreement of City Owned Land for the St. Regis <br />Residence Sales Center <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />This item is presented for your consideration. <br />REASONS: <br />Through Ordinance 2024-612, the City Commission approved a lease agreement with La Playa Beach <br />Associates, LLC for the city owned empty parcel located at 18801 Collins Avenue to be used as a Sales <br />Center for their project named St. Regis Residences. That agreement included an initial term of 42 <br />months, with renewals as agreed to mutually. <br />The team for St. Regis Residences is building a custom sales center that has taken longer than <br />anticipated to complete. Therefore, at the request of the lessee, this amendment will extend the initial <br />term by 24 months to bring the total initial term to 66 months. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />All other terms and conditions remain the same. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />No Funding is required as this is a revenue generating agreement. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Ordinance <br />First Amendment - La PLaya <br />Item Number: 8.0 <br />26 <br />
